XUE JIYE

Xue Jiye is an exceptional and multi-talented contemporary Chinese artist. Xue Jiye started off painting classical, museum-quality realistic pieces. This gradually delevoped into a style of his own in which Xue Jiye now expresses himself with surrealist paintings. Xue Jiye now does not use models; it would be impossible for them to pose for such pieces.

Xue Jiye is also a sculpture artist, which explains the interest within his work to paint sculptures or to paint figures chiseling rocks. Xue Jiye is one of the few surrealist Chinese contemporary artists, and his paintings generally revlove around the theme of pressure within society and in our lives. Few Chinese contemporary artists are as skilled or nearly as creative as Xue Jiye.
